  • [CMS] memebers can see IP address in Who is online ?

    HI..

I just noticed that members can IP addresses in WHOIS online page. However, from usergroup permission, I have double checked that no one can see IP but has no effect on whoisonline page.

Or I have missed something ?

Meanwhile I have turned off whois online completely..

PS: I am using vb 4.1.0

Check Usergroup Manager > find usergroup > Can View IP Addresses > No for ALL usergroups your users are in.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Hmm.. Here I found even if IP address is turned OFF in one group, if user is also part of another group where it is allowed then he can see. So, if any permission is ON in either the group, it will take precedence over other.

      Anyways, thanks, problem is resolved.

Yes, that is how permissions works. A Yes overrules a No. That is why it is best if you are adding users to Secondary Groups, you set all permissions to No and only change the ones you want to add to Yes.
