Is there a way to do this? I would like a private forum that automatically allows someone in when they reach a certain number of posts.

Create a usergroup for the top posters and use the promotion system to add the user to this usergroup (as a secondary usergroup) once they hit the post criteria you set.Plan, Do, Check, Act! -

yes, via rank promotions -- its in the menu on the left hand side in your admincpPlan, Do, Check, Act!Comment

Okay I found it again under usergroups>promotions. I set reputation level and days registered to 0. I added the number of posts under "posts" and picked secondary usergroup. Then at the bottom I chose the usergroup I want them to be added to when they get to that post count. Any idea why it's not working?Comment

It's run as a task.. Goto
Admincp > Scheduled Tasks > Scheduled Task Manager
Scroll down to 'User Promotions' and click the run now button on the right.
It's set to automatically run this every hour. It's likely it's just out of sync at this stage
