  • [Forum] Username colours not working

    Hey,
Been struggling with this for quite a while now, decided it was finally time to call in some help.

What I am wanting to do is set members of usergroups usernames to different colours. An example of what I want to achieve is http://ventmob.com/

I know how I am meant to do this, go into usergroup options and change the username HTML markup to: <span style="color: #FF0000;"> and </span>. Doing this has changed the group colours accordingly however it has not changed each users username colour which is what I really wish to achieve.

I wonder if this could be caused by a mod conflict but I am not sure.
    Thanks for any help

I see the usernames in different colors on your site, so I'm not sure what you mean (whereas I do not see different colored users on your example site). Perhaps an image would show where I should be looking since I must be missing where you are talking about.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

This image shows more clearly what I mean:

The coloured username there is due to the Points Market plugin. What I want is for my name, for example, to be in Red as I am an Administrator. As you can see from the plugin I installed above it has changed the usergroup colours but not the colours of usernames for everyone in those groups.

      Hope that clears things up.

you should ask in the release thread for those plugins over at the Org

Are you a member of more than one usergroup? Then you could try to check if your display group is set to administrator.. I don't know about the plugin, but if you have set up your username html markup correctly at your usergroup manager, it could be this..

Yeh I am a member of more than one usergroup, but display is set to administrator. I'll try disabling the plugin temporarily to see if it fixes it. If I don't have any problems after that I will post in the plugin thread at Org.
