    [Forum] Building a Test Forum

I found some directions to build a Test Forum but they assume I'm not a newbie.
    • I've backed up my database
    • I've created a new SQL Database on my server.
    • I've created a folder on the server called TestVB. TestVB is in the Public_HTML folder. Is that the correct location?
    • Do I now do a new VB install into Public_HTML/TestVB? Then restore the database to Public_HTML/TestVB?

I would suggest a directory title in all lowercase letters - testvb

You need to import this backup into the new database you created. Then you need to edit the config.php file (the one in testvb/includes) to point to this new database.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.
