so i tried to update my site but i got an erorr, i backed up my database and then decided to go back to the backed up data base...its been about 12 hours and the site still is reading database error...how long does it usually take after you put up your old database

That means you're using 4.1 files on a pre-4.1 database. You will either need to:

- run the upgrade again or
- restore the previous files.

I belive we did restore the files,last week we backed up the database and last night we clicked on system restore. I thought that was how i restore the old files?

Take a look at the files - do they say 4.1.0 on the top or some other version?
