  • [Forum] Memory allocation failed...

every time i post a new message, i get the "allocation failed" message. here's the latest:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4864 bytes) in /home/smalle2/public_html/vforum/packages/vbdbsearch/postindexcontroller.php on line 40
The file and line number change each time.

My ISP's CPanel says my PHP memory limit is 32MB. PHP version is 5.2.14

the msg seems to post OK, but i get the error anyway...

You need to increase your memory limit. Try to go to 64MB. You may have to ask your host to do this if you cannot access your php.ini file. Some configurations will allow you to override php.ini with a line in your .htaccess file as well.
