[Forum] Upgrade problem 4.0.8 to 4.1

Hi all

When i upgrading my forum from 4.08 to 4.1 i got this error and process aborted..

vbulletin upgrade XML Error: %1$s at Line %2$s


anyhelp urgently really appreciated..

thanks in advance..

btw search to forum but could not find any solution or relevant topic about it..

That is a bad file. You need to make sure that all XML files are uploaded in ASCII format.


Your FTP client is supposed to be smart enough to figure out which is which, however some aren't. You need to set it up so these extensions are uploaded as ASCII:

php
txt
html
css
js
htm
xml

And these as Binary:

gif
jpg
jpeg
png
ico
TTF
