    [Forum] MYSQL related error

    I am getting a few hundred of these errors at a time. They are always related to this yui function (see below). I know that this looks like a simply mysql-connect issue, but I was not having any database connection issues prior to upgrading to VB4. The URL below looks like it is not well formed. I am using VBulletin's built in URL rewrite module. Is this a malfunction with that maybe?

    Database error in vBulletin :

    mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (11)

    That url does indeed look like nonsense. Do you have any modifications installed ?

      Vbtube and tabs are the only modifications. Nothing that affects the URL rewrite. I just noticed that all of the errors are being driven by the same IP address. I switched it to the normal friendly URL mode instead of advanced and for the moment it has resolved the issue.
