In the vbulletin manual it states:
I upgraded to 4.1.0 and it shows:
My questions:
1. Can I remove "Version 4.1.0"
Hackers wanting to exploit known vulnerabilities associated with the specific version of vBulletin that I am using, can quickly find my site and others, by googling vBulletin Version 4.1.0
Why make it easy for them?
2. Which Copyright?
Should it say "Copyright ©2000-2008 Jelsoft Enterprises Limited." as referenced in the license agreement and vbulletin manual.
Or should it say "Copyright © 2010 vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved." as is the default since i upgraded to 4.0?
3. Is "Powered by vBulletin" really needed now?
With the new copyright statement already identifying the product as vBulletin Solutions, is Powered by vBulletin really necessary as its redundant?
