does anyone know how to disable the block making users all have a different name...i want people to be able to use there real names like facebook. i dont know if removing the block would mess anything up or not tho....if anyone has heard of a way to do this or knows someone who might be able to please let me know

You could disable new registrations for regular usergroups, and use facebook connect to be the sole way to signup to your site. You'll have to create a new usergroup for them and adjust the settings in the facebook options. -
I don't know what "the block making users all have a different name" is, but my users are able to use their real names (and most do). So I guess I don't really understand the question.Comment

I think he is worried that two users may have the same name and registration wouldn't like that. You would have to modify the code to allow there to be two usernames that are the same. The better thing to do is to have a profile field where they can enter their name - there is nothing to stop that from being the same as someone else's.

Thats exactly what i am looking for, am i able to make a profile field above the profile picture, so it shows there name, i want people to be able to find there friends easier in the search bar as well...pretty much like how facebook has it, i dont want it to be like twitter where instead of some one using there real name they use...kitty3424 or something like that lolComment

I've seen several users talk about doing this over on vbulletin.org. I have no idea if any of them then wrote down everything to change and shared it with the others, but it has been discussed many times before over there. You will need to either write several plugins to do this or make several template edits, but it is doable.
