  • [Forum] Adsense Integration Question

    Hi all,
I have adsense integrated into my forum, but it was the default setup when I purchased the vb4 suite, now however, I have updated my pubID with my current adsense pubID. It shows as updated in the Customer Area, however when I look at it in my adminCP, it still shows the old pubID.

Is there a way to change it on my site, to reflect my current pubID without reinstalling the entire suite, or running a full upgrade?
I've run a search on all the templates, and all my mysql tables for %pub-8675309xxxxxx%, and come up with nothing.

Is there some mystical area/section/table that I'm overlooking?

Thank you all for your help.
I apologize to support too for not waiting for a response to my question, before asking in the forums. I figured two places is better then one..... right...

At this point it is best to remove the integration, then redo it.

To remove the Google Adsense integration you need to do the following:

    1. Log into your Admin CP and go to:
    Advertising -> Google AdSense.

Set the package to None and save.

    2. Log into your Google AdSense account. Go to 'My Account', then 'Account access'. Choose to deny vbulletin.com access.

    3. Log into the vBulletin Members' Area and choose the option to remove your association.

Now reintegrate with the new info:

    1) Go to http://members.vbulletin.com/adsense.php

    2) Enter the requested information.

    3) Log into your Google AdSense account at http://adsense.google.com

    4) Click the 'Review account access' link.

    5) Click the 'grant access' link for vBulletin.

    6) Check that your status is Fully Activated at http://members.vbulletin.com/adsense.php

    7) If your status is Fully Activated, then download vBulletin at http://members.vbulletin.com/ but if your status is not activated, then double check steps 1 through 6.

    8) Install/upgrade vBulletin on your server as usual, and after logging into your administrator's control panel, you will see an Advertising block in the left-hand navigation panel.

Note: If you installed/upgraded vBulletin before doing steps 1 through 7, then do steps 1 through 7 (skip step 8) and in place of step 8, FTP the following four files in ASCII mode to your server from the new download:

    /admincp/deployads.php
    /includes/adsense_templates.php
    /includes/init.php
    /includes/xml/cpnav_ads.xml

If you do not see the Advertising block in the left-hand navigation panel after doing everything correctly, hard refresh your ACP page (or log out of the ACP and then log back into the ACP).
