    [Forum] first day problems

    My forum has been uploaded onto my host for less than 24 hours and im already having problems. I have been the only user logged onto my forum and while I was setting everything up today my site went down. I started getting emails (I got 8 total) that all said the same thing. Here is what the emails I received said:

    mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Too many connections
    /hermes/bosweb/web262/b2624/ipg.thacouncilnet/includes/class_core.php on line 313

    MySQL Error :

    It's a setting problem with MySQL.

    If you are on a shared server, their server that hosts MySQL may be overloaded and therefore you get the "Too Many Connections" message.

    You'll need to contact your host or if you can, change the settings for MySQL. (I don't know if you have a dedicated, vps or shared hosting...) It depends on the type of hosting you are using.

    The most immediate thing you can do is turn off persistent connections in your Config.php (if it is turned on).

          The server has maxed out the number of MySQL connections it allows. This is a server-wide limit, not just your forums. Unless you have root access to the server all you can do is ask your host to raise the maximum number of connections they allow.

          Here is more info on that error:

          P.S. There is no such thing as 'unlimited' anything.
