Ok I know the title seams strange. Since I upgraded to 4.0.8 where ever I have ' in a word like "I'm" the ' turns into I\\\"mall over the place. Would anyone be able to help me fix this.
For some reason I have too many //// on my site.

Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit includes/config.php and add this line right under <?php
PHP Code:define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

I think that's a server issue. Enable phpinfo in the Admin CP, then provide the URL to your forums. This may help us troubleshoot this problem.

I have checked into other reports of this and they all seem to point to add-ons.
To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':
Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions
[Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]
Next, disable all products (except vB Blog and vB CMS if you are running the Suite.)
Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable
Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:
Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager
You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.
Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it.
Now make a new post with an apostrophe in it. Do you have the same problem?Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

OK, did everything you said. The old already posts and still whacked, but any new post works out just great. Tried many times. So thank you VERY MUCH for your time. But do you have any ideas on how to fix the old stuff. I mean normally one would think you can just do a find and replace. But how would one do that in a sql.Comment

Unfortunately I do not have any way to fix this for existing posts. You could check over at vbulletin.org for a script to do this.Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)
