The menu gets created automatically. You can't go add any other links to it. (Well, I suppose you may be able to either edit the code or modify the template, but I've never looked into that.)

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

I really hope a generic menu widget is on the table.

It's pretty essential for a CMS.

I am pretty stuck right now, and I am not wanting to do anything out of the ordinary.

Fingers crossed it shows up soon.
      Hmmm. Cheese.

If you go to Configure the widget, what do you have set for "Expand the entire Sections tree if you have less than this many items in the tree" ? And how many Sections do you have in your CMS that are viewable to the public?

So you have 5 in that setting. But what about this question " And how many Sections do you have in your CMS that are viewable to the public?"

The Menu shows other Sections besides the main one. You have no other sections except your main one, so nothing is going to show. If you add a Section, then it will show in the Menu.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
