[Forum] Another 4.0.8 style problem - can't figure out the right stylevars. :(

After going from 4.0.7 to 4.0.8, I had to spend the extra time to re-do my stylevars. Which is fine - I got most of them done. BUT I can't figure out why my forum styles are not working - can someone give me guidance?

CMS home: everything normal

Go into subforum: no styles carry over and it defaults to an old, old style

I can't for the life of me figure out how to get my header, navbar and other images to show up. And oh, the teal that I happily got rid of a few months ago is now back to taunt me!

What am I missing? Are they different stylvars? Or is something wonky on my site?

Do you still have the old style installed? In AdminCP > Forums & Moderators > Forum Manager > [Edit Forum] (for that sub-forum), do you have the old style set in 'Custom Style for this Forum'?

I spent so much time fixing up the stylevars that I didn't consider it could be something else. Duh!

It's like the time I kept having electrical problems with my first car ('81 Toyota Corolla ... RIP) - it'd just conk out for no reason, or refuse to start. I'd bang on the door and whatever wires were fritzy were fixed and the car would start again. Then it died and wouldn't start - so I had it towed to my mechanic. "Bob, when are you going to fix this problem?" I asked. "I just put a gallon of gas in, fixed 'er right up," he replied.
