[Forum] Full post return with Showposts=1

I am trying to replace the {vb:raw post.pagetext} on the search results with the untrimmed version of the post.

{vb:raw post.pagetext} appears to trim the results down to a unacceptable amount.

I tried {vb:raw post.message} which didnt work of course.

if there another value I should use or a way of telling {vb:raw post.pagetext} not to trim?

This is a search here where the posts are shown... however, the posts are trimmed and followed with a ... at the end.

Ideally i would like to see the whole post... including quotes ... but would settle for being able to just get them longer for now. The trimming is far too aggressive for my needs.

Emulating an SMF feature where latest posts are shown on a page... it is a full post shown including all the quoting and html.

any thoughts where to start?

Looks like it's from ..../result/post.php, these lines:

        if ($current_user->hasForumPermission($forum->get_field('forumid'), 'canviewthreads'))

I am not finding this file.
Using both 4.0.7 and 4.0.8

I found it and it works... i was able to up the amount to 2000 and the trimming stopped.
Almost perfect.

Any chance you would know what adjustment to stop the stripping of quotes, bbcode or html?

The truncating has been effectively removed :-) fantastic :-)

It says right there - $this->post->get_summary(200) - so look up the function get_summary.

I'm working on it... just finding the file location is real issue.
