    [Forum] Facebook integration

I have 4.0.7. I followed the Facebook Integration and common issues exactly. I am getting the error:

    API Error Code: 100
    API Error Description: Invalid parameter
Error Message: next is not owned by the application.

I have researched others who got this issue resolved. I have triple checked the the website's URL to make sure it's correct and has a trailing /. I have implemented what I could but I still have some questions.

1)When I hit "submit it" to the Application Directory on the Facebook Developers page it tells me I need 5 active users. How can I have active users if the application for the application has not even been submitted?

    2) I can't find where to put the URL reclamation extension? When you go to edit settings>website>core settings there is only a place for the site URL. I have looked in each link and I dont see where to put the URL reclamation. Can someone tell me in plain English how to resolve this?

    Thank you.

Yea that's so weird. The first set of steps requires that you enter a reclamation URL and the second doesn't mention it. I wish someone would clarify this.

      1. Go-to: http://www.facebook.com/developers
      2. Click on + Set Up New Application
      3. Set Application Name, agree and Create Application
      4. Left menu click "Connect"
      5. Enter your site URL in the "Connect URL" field. Example here is: http://www.nocostinstall.com/ (Take notice off trailing slash)
      6. Enter "Account Reclamation URL" and adding register.php?do=fbdisconnect to it. Example: http://www.nocostinstall.com/registe...o=fbdisconnect
      7. Save Changes

      1. Go-to: http://www.facebook.com/developers
      2. Click on + Set Up New Application
      3. Set Application Name, agree and Create Application
      4. Left menu click "Web Site"
      5. Enter your site URL in the "Site URL" field. Example here is: http://www.nocostinstall.com/ (Take notice off trailing slash)
      6. Save Changes

I have read that I need to enter a Post Authorize Redirect URL to fix this. This is supposedly on the Application Settings Page. It is not there however, if someone could point me in the right direction, it would save me a big headache, and possibly justify spending 300 dollars on this publishing suite.

I cannot get this feature to work. There is nothing about an Account Reclamation URL.

          It doesn't work.

Clicking on the FaceBook Connect icon on my forum returns you to the same forum, with an anchor link [#].

          Check www.theparacast.com/forum to see.

So where do I go next?

          Peace,
          Gene

I had similar problem, make sure that both URLs match as configured in your Facebook app and your vBulletin URL. mine was simply that I had left off the 'www.' in front of my domain name in my vBulletin URL setup. peace

Gene Steinburg, your seems to be working right now!

Mostly working. I fixed the header/header include/and footer templates, with a little guesswork. I had to integrate our changes with your original version.

I have but one more problem. Seems the Like display in a thread is not properly aligned:

See the screenshot. Do I have to fix something in SHOWTHREAD for this? What?

              Peace,
              Gene

the URL must match for both the facebook app and your vBulletin URL setting .. FYI - I DO NOT use the trailing slash

on my system Facebook associated data is right-justified. FYI - I was not required to modify any templates to get facebook to work. there were some justification issues which were corrected with point releases of vBulletin app.

I want to increase the size of the text, and either allow the Facebook Like field to move more to the right, so it doesn't break to the next line, or when it does break, it's flush left below the thread title.

Can someone guide me to these two fixes?

                    Peace,
                    Gene
