i want change main url with other parked domain

for example:

my forum url is : www.sitename.com in first and install time

today after 2 years i park a domain with this address : www.sitename.ir

now what can i do ?

note: i want change all link to site.ir replace .com

Note: The only reliable method of backing up and restoring a database is with shell access via telnet or ssh. This is because backing up with a PHP script like that in the Admin CP or phpMyAdmin can result in PHP timeouts errors and an incomplete backup file. Please see the instructions here:

So what's the best way to deal with downtime? Do it after midnight and hope to get it all done by 6am? What steps do other people generally take before, during and after the website replacement if they already have visitors? I'm thinking about informing visitors, but I'm sure there are scores of other issues.

Well the best thing would be to choose the least bust time for your forums, close then, then go through the process. You could put up a notice as well.
