Displaying an article in CMPS in HTML

Is it possible to display a HTML file in HTML format in an article in CMPS?

I have a spreadsheet that I would like to display in my CMPS article but I am having trouble trying to find out how to do so.

    Is this possible?

Do you mean like when you post code in a post using the html tags? Have you tried that?

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

NO, I do not want the code to show. I have a very large spreadsheet I want to display inside the body of the message. I have tried displaying it using tags and when I go to save it the message is blank.

I have used html in articles before. You first need to allow the usergroup to use it. Then, make sure you don't add in the <html> and <head> and <body> tags to it. Only put in the html that belongs in the body tag into the article.

Let me try to clarify this a little more, I meant CMS.

I am using CMS, the one that comes with VB4 suite. I have used the vBadvanced in the past but I am trying to get away from using it.

I want to either place HTML code in the article so that users can view the message in HTML or have it so that it imports into the article. Sort of like how vBadvanced does it. Is this possible?

I don’t want to turn on HTML so that users can type in HTML in a message. This is very dangerous to let users have access to type in HTML code in messages.

So what you want to do is somehow put an .xml file into the article and have it show correctly as a spreadsheet?

You need to enable html permissions for YOUR USERGROUP in the cms permissions.

In your permissions, you can turn on HTML for specific usergroups. So if you only want admins to be able to use HTML in articles, only set the permissions for the Admins.

Two things. First remember that when you assign HTML rights in CMS you are assigning that right to the author. So if you assign HTML rights to yourself (well, your usergroup) and create an article, everybody including "unregistered" will see the HTML.

Second- if you assign your group HTML rights and are using 4.05 or more recently you'll have the option of creating a "Static HTML" page. If you are comfortable writing HTML you have wide-open rights. Make sure you close your div's. As Lynne says above, leave out the <html>, <head>, and <body> tags.
Please- I'm not tech support. Don't send your problem reports to me unless I've asked you to.

                      Edwin

I do have “Can Use HTML in CMS Content” set for my usergroup. Yet when I put HTML in the article as I stated and it save but the article comes back empty. I do not have any <html>, <head>, and <body> tags in the HTML file either.

When editing the article, on the settings area for HTML, select "HTML On - Don't Convert Linebreaks". See if that helps.

I got that one to work but I could not get this one to work. I even changed my Maximum Characters Per Post to 45375245. Each time I save it the message comes up empty though. Could someone look at this HTML file and see if there is something wrong in it.

I only posted what was between the <body> and the </body> tags.
