[CMS] How to turn-off CMS and Forum during maintenance???

When I setup a test site for upgrades, etc. I don't want users / search engines to have access to the CMS or the Forum. How do I make the CMS inactive just like the forum?

Wouldn't it be cool if you could set all of vbulletin to inactive in admincp, which in-turn looks up your IP and adds to an .htaccess file or whatever is needed (allowing edits).

If you setup a test site, it should be protected via htaccess or other authoriation to make sure normal users cannot access it.

Thanks Zachery... my apologies... that should have read "suite" note "site."

I don't want users to gain access to the vb suite (CMS & Forum) if I'm performing maintenance or testing an upgrade before opening back up to users.

My hope and question is - Can vb control / block access to the entire suite (CMS & Forum) from admincp rather than me trying to figure out how to edit / test .htacces. I'm preparing for my first upgrade in production since v4.00 (Dec 2009).

As a note... 99% of my non-prod dev / testing is done on a local server that is blocked from the Internet.
