    [Forum] Major Style Issues. Need help bad.

    If I upload more than one style they combine eachothers images and other things.

    I've deleted all the styles, upgraded to 4.0.8, and tried re-adding them.

    It is just jumbling everything together.. i'm about to lose my mind with it.

    I just posted my URL everywhere because the site was running fine, I get online this morning and my background of the original theme is missing and buttons changed.

    Same issue posted on vbulletin.org

    For some reason i have not been successful installing 2 or 3 styles in vB4. I upload one and for that to work I have to set it at Default, and what ever style I add it use the CCS and even images from the other style so there is no way to get this done.

    Another thing I noticed is vB4 have bugs like you never imagine. The database goes to eaw.. Is the 3rd time alrady I fix tables in the data base caused by vB4.

    I was a happy camper with vBulletin until I upgrade to vB4.

    Anyone have an idea why this is happening? I mean IP.Board I tried and is not buggy like vB is right now, I hope they fix this one day because they are climbing the hill on this one.

    At least I want to fix the style bug. Can any one help me out on this one?

    I've got just the default theme running on the site again.

    Got it to show the default by repeating the upgrade.

          I'm not sure what you don't understand. When I upload styles they mix with my old styles. They steal other styles css and some images. That vbulletin.org link I posted talks all about it too. Colors get messed up, background images. It acts like I'm merging the styles together.

              I am confused because what you are describing does not happen with the default vB code, nor do I ever remember anything liek this in all the years I've been doing support. Therefore I thought it was best to get clarification before jumping to any conclusions.

              You said this was happening before upgrading to 4.0.8. Are you making sure the styles you upload are not using a parent style? If so, then this is almost certainly do to an add-on. To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

              Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

              [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

              Next, disable all products (except vB Blog and vB CMS if you are running the Suite.)

              Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Disable

              Then manually uncheck all plugins that are not for 'vBulletin Blog' and vBulletin CMS' here:

              Admin CP -> Plugins & Products -> Plugin Manager

              You must do BOTH of those steps in order to disable all non vBulletin Modifications.

              Do you have the same problem?

                  ? Is it possible to keep all my posts/threads and just delete all the vbulletin files and start fresh? A database backup or something?

                  I was running 4.0.7 before, and never had any problems until I uploaded a third style.

                  My site is about to blow up with traffic since the game is about to be released and I want to make sure it is top notch.

                  I really appreciate your help sir, sorry if I came off a little crappy. Stressed out and my members are harassing me about it.

                  Here is something else it is doing as well. The white is coming from the default VB style.

                              Contact me -via private message we are using the same style. So lets see if i cant help you fix this. It worked for mine it should for you.
