  • [Blog] block_background affects.... not good

    In Stylevars the block_background affects many areas throughout the forum.

    In the blog area the background on the front page for the post listings can be altered by changing the color of the block_background, the problem is it makes the area where the submit buttons are when creating a forum post also change, and it also makes the About Me section in a users profile change in a weird way below the users signature, which looks terrible.

    Is there any way to be able to change the color of the blog main page background post listings without it affecting the other area's? Why are all these area's connected with block_background? Shouldn't each area of the forum have specific stylevar settings such as

    profile> affects only profile
    blog> affects only blog
    forum> affects only forum
    etc.

    On the Blog listing page, you can override the 'block_background' by adding the following to additional.css:

    Code:
    .blogentrybit {
    background: #ffffff;
    }
    I've not tested where else this will affect however.

    If you have suggestions to improve the StyleVars etc, I'd recommend putting that into JIRA as an Improvement Request

    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s) (vB6)
