Is there anything documented on how users should use the search function?

Perhaps someone spent some time already and made such a guide avaiable?

I find allot of people struggle and the FAQ really does not cut it for them.

The FAQ is the only documentation. What specific problems do they have?

For example with google you can do -image to exclude all returns that contain images additionally, what's the difference between searching for help+images and "help images".

I'm more looking for a guide tosearch to save me writtting one
