  • [Forum] User thread titles not showing after edit. (4.0.7)

Hey there, I'm hoping to find an answer for a problem I am having on my board(4.0.7).. When any of my users create a thread, no matter how long they wait, when they go to edit the title, the changes are not being saved.. It saves correctly as if this issue should not be happening as well.. Although, If I(admin) attempt to change my thread title and save, it works fine.. I am using 4.0.7 and starting to wonder if this is a bug(probably not, lol)?

Also I am wondering if there is any way to disable viewed threads titles , i am trying to keep them bold always, instead of them not being bold after viewed..

Thanks for any help in advance everyone - Chynna

What do you have set for vboptions > Message Posting and Editing Options > Time Limit on Editing of Thread Title Are the users editing the title within that limit? If you want the titles to always be bold, then add some CSS to ".threadbit .title" to make it so.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

Hey Lynne, that setting is set to 0.. I have also noticed that when I try to edit user thread title even as admin, it shows edit on the inner title inside thread at top, but keeps the title the same.. hmmm lol.. THanks for the CSS help too!

Update: If I use mod tools and move users thread to same subforum it is in, it updates to what they have as title edit. So it updates correctly when moved.... Thanks again for all your help

Setting it to 0 means.... 0. If you want it effectively unlimited then you need to set it to a huge number, like 999999999.
