what is the best way to add google webmaster to vb4. thank you in advance. not sure if should use html upload or meta tag or how to do either

Your site has no hreflang tags.
Google uses hreflang tags to match the user's language preference to the right variation of your pages.
Any help with the above?

I have tried to upload the html file to my root domain, then to the sub-domain where my forum is but nothing works.
