[Forum] do i have to disable plugins to upgrade 4.x to 4.x?

do i have to disable plugins to upgrade from 4.0 to the latest 4.0? i only see instructions to disable when upgrading TO 4.0 from 3.x... thanks in advance

Generally speaking, it does not hurt to do so... but so far I've not run into many issues with plug-ins when upgrading within the 4.x series.

There have been no issues [for me] since 4.0.3, when moving to .4, .5, & .7. These upgrades didn't require any rollbacks or further troubleshooting.

It really depends on the modifications you are using and how complex they are.

I don't ; but I would check that the plugins and templates edit are working after the upgrade

ok fellas thanks... i only have blog and cms as an addon at this moment... but i disabled them and upgraded my live site and it worked fine... i then crashed my test site and restored it and updated it not disabling anything and it worked too... so i guess better safe than sorry since it wasnt difficult

For the record; if it's the vBulletin Blog and CMS - you don't need to disable those.

Any other plug-in would require some review, but the official products by vBulletin don't need to be disabled.
