  • [CMS] Un-Censor! How?

The censor didn't obey the {} and censored a fairly common word. I've removed it, but now the word that was accidentally censored is no longer showing. How do I force it to show correctly??

That word disappeared from the posts while the censor was on,you cannot show it anymore.
In new posts it will appear.

Wow, lovely. It used to be that when you censored a word, it came back when you "Uncensored" it. Wish the brackets had worked properly! Thank you beishe, I appreciate the reply.

Did you try emptying the postcache?

Zach, I thought emptying the postcache was an option in the AdminCP> Maintenance - but I don't see it. Would you happen to know what the mysql query should be for that?

              It should be in:

AdminCP > Maintenance > Update Counter > Rebuild Post Cache

So what do I do if that doesn't Exist?? Because it doesn't . . . the only options offered in this version of vb are:

                Update User Titles and Ranks
                Rebuild Thread Information
                Rebuild Forum Information
                Add Missing Thread Keywords
                Fix broken user profiles
                Rebuild Search Index
                Empty Signature Cache
                Rebuild Statistics
                Rebuild Similar Threads
                Delete Duplicate Threads
                Rebuild Attachment Thumbnails
                Rebuild Custom Avatar Thumbnails
                Rebuild Avatar Thumbnails
                Rebuild Group Icon Thumbnails
                Rebuild Recently Updated Albums
                Rebuild User Reputation
                Update User Names
                Update Post Counts
                Rebuild Styles
                Remove Orphan Threads
                Remove Orphan Posts
The only thing that even mentions Cache- is the signature cache.

If you have post caching turned off, it will not show.

If you look at the post table in the database, though, you would see that the word is stored as censored, so clearing the post cache would not put it back to normal. The only way to do this would be for you to run a query on the database and do some sort of search/replace on it.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.
