  • [Forum] community calender upcoming events

    Hi,

I saw on a forum that I think people posted on there calender events and it would show up on a forum board and above the forum header there would be a box like the register if you havent read the FAQ there would be the event titles that you posted and you are able to click on them takes you to the forum board. Anyone got Ideas on this really would help the community.

I'm trying to understand the question. It almost looks as though you are asking more than one.
Are you asking if there is a way to create a calendar event that automatically creates a thread in a selected forum?
I know that is a feature I certainly could use on my website since, many rely on our calendar for finding car events.

        Re:

Basically, on the calendar you would post an event so now you create a forum board let's call it community events so the events you posted would show up on this board.

In black it would show the events and your able to click on them (when you are already registered on the forum)

        Looks like this message here:
        Code:
If this is your first visit, be sure to check out the [U][B]FAQ[/B][/U] by clicking the link above. You may have to [U][B]register[/B][/U] before you can post: click the register link above to proceed. To start viewing messages, select the forum that you want to visit from the selection below.
I don't know how it fully works but from what I've seen I like to do it too, saw it on another forum, I don't know if it's a mod.

BBR - vB Event Forums will post a thread to a predefined forum. Upcoming Events on Top of Pages may or may not post recent events to the top of your forum.

Alas, both mods have some serious problems. Read the entire threads before installing.
