    Try this:

    $mytemplate = vB_Template::create('templatename');
    $output = $mytemplate->render();

    You can pass variables to the template with
    $mytemplate->register('varname', 'value');

    Cheers, but not quite what im looking for - ill continue to reverse engineer it but im looking for something much simpler.

    Basically id like to use the PHP feature to call a template, nothing fancy just go to templates pull that one and display the content.

    If you mean the used template for the widget, you would need to change the used template

    Certainly. See http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/entry...-Content-Types. There's an attached RTF file which uses two different templates to render the results.
