[Forum] Post Counts

I was wondering if someone could help me.

It seems when posts are deleted the members of the forums lose post counts. Is there anyway to prevent this from happening?

Bumps this up cause I have looked for ages to see if I can stop the posts counts going down after posts have been deleted.

The only way I can think of is to make up a "Archive" thread and save everything into there and not delete anything but this will take up room/space, so I am really hoping that there is a easier way??

No, however I've a feeling that if you use the prune option within AdminCP > Threads & Posts, post counts are unaffected until you update the counters within AdminCP > Maintenance. You might want to check that on a test install first though...

Sorry about bumping the thread.

I don't totally understand. Are you saying that if I use the Prune Option that this won't happen. And how often should I be doing a update? Will the update put on the posts to the members counts that they have lost?
