So because your laptop touch pad bummed out you blame vBulletin. Maybe try using a mouse with the laptop, then you won't experience the problem and then that will show you vBulletin is not to blame for any of this and that there is no point in requesting something that is not needed.

But honestly, you can say that about ANY forum that has threads in it. You don't want to accidentally delete any of them. That is why they ask if you are sure you want to do delete it.

Yeah I have to agree the issue you have is with the auto click function on your laptop, although I would expect that like post and threads there would be an option to permanently delete and soft delete that could be an intermediate step.

Always the tradeoff; more control or less control? It's not "critical", the CMS still functions and you have to restore from backup, inconvenient.

What more vBulletin could do is PREVENT someone from deleting that forum. Just like you can't delete some special usergroups like the moderator or admin group, those important groups will not delete even if you try to delete them you get an error message.

If this one forum holds ALL of comments from all the articles on the entire website vB should not allow this forum deleted even if you click yes to delete you should get an error because this is most critical forum, the CMS will not work correctly without it.

True Lynne, I understood him to say he renamed it and it was lost. I would like to rename mine. I moved mine into another forum, trying to find a place were it would work again after the issue of it disappearing in 4.04 but I didn't dare rename it for fear it would no longer be connected to the articles. I will wait till I have 4.06 in to try and rename it. I am a little unsure of what I should do with it before i do the update. were would I move it back to? should I ? Cause it is visible when I select comments on the article options at least for a little while(awaiting feedback from members to confirm fix) and then the option changes on its own. I want it to show up in new post, but I do not like the way it makes one have to click a link to take you to the article. when a new article is posted it should take you to that article with the comments below it. I'm not sure I understand why the comments have to be listed in two formats.

Changes like this in an update really cause confusion, its easier when I make a change and something breaks, at least then I know were to look back to.
