  • [Forum] Signature area background?

    I'm trying to change the background of the signature area, but leaving the background of the posts the same as they are. I found a few other suggestions upon searching and they didn't work for me. I'm also using a style other than the default. Does anyone know where I would specifically look to change this "signature background color"?

    Thanks much!

    This should work assuming no weird added css to your style. If it doesn't please link to a thread with signatures that unregistered users may see.
    HTML Code:
    .postbitlegacy .after_content {background:xxxx;
    }

    If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

      I tried that code in various css files and no luck. Both the post area AND signature area remain the same color, which is #E6E6E6 but I want to change the signature area to #F2F2F2

      Thanks!

        Various css files? It makes a difference. Put it in additional.css.

        <span class="cssSelector ">
        HTML Code:
        .signature {background:xxxx;}
        should work on the postbit template (what I posted before was for postbit_legacy).

          Search Templates

          postbit.css

          .signature {
          padding-top: 1em;
          border-top: {vb:stylevar signature_border};
          margin-top: 2em;
          }

          Add

          Background-color: #xxxxxx;

          .signature {
          padding-top: 1em;
          border-top: {vb:stylevar signature_border};
          margin-top: 2em;
          background-color: #xxxxxx;
          }

          Hope that works out for you.

                In the same template find

                .postbit .postrow

                Add

                background-color: #xxxxxx;

                Make it the same color as your signture

                  add

                  Make it a diffrent color

                  Sould look a bit nicer when finished
