      1. AdminCP > Languages & Phrases > Search in Phrases
      2. Enter the phrase variable into the search using these settings

      Search in: Phrase Variable Name

      3. Click Find4. Click "Edit" next to the result saying "started_by_x_y_z_a"
      5. Press "Copy Default Text"
      6. Remove "{5}" from the text which is now in the Translation Box
      7. Remove "{5} from any other translations also listed.

      Hope that helps Let me know if you get stuck.

            There is another solution that someone from skinbox helped me upon:

            For your style's search_threadbit template, find:

            {vb:rawphrase started_by_x_y_z_a, {vb:link member, {vb:raw thread}, null, 'postuserid', 'postusername'}, {vb:raw thread.postusername}, {vb:raw thread.startdate}, {vb:raw thread.starttime}}

            and then replace it with:
            {vb:rawphrase started_by_x_y_z_a, {vb:link member, {vb:raw thread}, null, 'postuserid', 'postusername'}, {vb:raw thread.postusername}, {vb:raw thread.startdate}, {vb:raw thread.starttime}, {vb:stylevar dirmark}}

              Thanks so much for this fix. You should be on the vBulletin payroll. Your contribution has saved them money (because I sure as heck was going to have a few of their support guys tied in knots until this crap was fixed!!!). Thanks again!
