Hello, thanks for reply. But, Have you upload also on Amazon S3 your skin folder? And than you have changed all "path images" of the skin from ACP vBulletin, right?
Your site is very fast and reliable, congratulations.

Taz, sorry but I don't understand a thing; the procedure that I explain on 1 post regarding how to change the path of javascript, is correct?

    Hi there,

You might of moved your css files to the other server by you doing this. Check your server error log for a clue whats going on.

If this is the case id love to know if you can update them.

I Just finished optimizing my site tonight

Anyway see if that corrects your display issue.

    Taz

Oh, i did mine buy changing the CSS files in the /clientscript/vbulletin_css/'style no.'
Replaced all the /clientscript/ in there and right protected the hole vbulletin_css folder so it cant make any changes.

    Nauty but nice......

lets hope they dont change the style vars too much in the next version else i might have to do this all again. Sighhhh....

If your thinking of going for that dont forget to backup the folder first!

  • Question: Host static images and js in amazon S3

Hello, I am trying to host my static images and javascript on Amazon S3, to increase the performance of my Community.
    I have a question please:

I upload all vBulletin's javascript on Amazon S3, I configured a new my domain and I point it at my amazon s3 server account (url), with a CNAME entry for each sub-domain.
    I create:
    • jws.mysite.info for javascript
    • icons.mysite.info for icons
    • etc.

Now, I must change the path of javascript, by pointing it on Amazon S3. To make this I create a new [Add New Replacement Variable], than I setup:
    • Set Search for Text to href="clientscript
    • Set Replace with Text to href="http://jws.mysite.info.s3.amazonaws.com/clientscript

Can you tell me if everything is correct?
Because at the moment I see my forum without layout, completely wrong, but perhaps it is only because I have to wait several hours that the CNAME records become active, until now will be passed about 4 hours.

    Thank you
