  • [Forum] Possibly Firefox Error?

This is not a vBulletin error but happens in my posts since 4.0.0.

When I click on manage attachments, the window opens, stays blank and tells me 'done'. I close it, reopen it and its working fine. Any ideas on how to alleviate this minor but irritating thing apart from the obvious - kill firefox'!!!

Killing Firefox is not an option as they now have 25% market share.

Are you using the new Asset manager or the legacy Attachment Manager?

I was being sarcastic on Firefox. Sorry, what is the asset manager and the other?

        The setting is located here:

Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> Message Attachment Options -> Asset Manager - Enable

I suggest you set this to No. The new Asset manager is buggy and more difficult to use.

Andy, many thanks. Now have a more manageable pre 4.0.0 upload and it works first time.

              Happy to help Mike.

Do me a favor though, bump this bug report.

              http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-473

It's directly related to making the Attachment Manager as useful as it was pre 4.0.

Thanks Mike, but that bug report is about the Insert All link which allows inserting all the attachments into the post at once. You might like to edit your comment.
