  • [CMS] Articles on front page

    Hello,

I couldn't find this anywhere, so I'll ask. Just upgraded to the new v4.x and have several articles that I've placed in different sections, however, they all still show up on the front page. I'm not quite clear on how to get the articles to show up just on their own sections.

Sorry if this is very obvious, I just can't seem to figure out how to fix it.

You probably have "include subsections" set, or have some articles with a display order.

When editing the section, I have the 'content' section at the bottom, "Display Content from Sub-Sections?" unchecked. The articles however, have display order on them. If you have a display order on them, how does that make them show up in different sections? I thought that only applied to the sections they are assigned to?

No. Every section has its own settings. If article "A" is assigned to section "B" but has a display order set in section "C" it will show up in section "C". At least for now the "display order" setting takes precedence.

We're planning to redo that part of the section edit screen, but I'm not certain when that will be released. We're still working out exactly what the new interface will be.
