[Forum] Member profile - just upgraded to 4.0.4 - 404 error

Hello guys.

I've just upgraded to the new vBulletin 4.0.4 version.

Mainly because I wanted the style generator.

And I've noticed that my member profiles no longer work.

It gives me a 404 page error.

Something like this:

The requested URL /forum/members/1-Dan was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

No clue as to why this happens.


It was working perfectly fine before I upgraded, and I forgot to take a backup of my files




Also, I cannot use the new style generator.


I've watched the video about the style generator countless times, and every time I try to follow the steps.


I cannot seem to do it at all.


It doesn't let me click on the 3 other boxes next to colour.


It does not allow me to save my style.


So yeah, I'm having 2 problems already with the new vBulletin 4.0.4.




Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for reading.


I'm sure I'm not going to be the only person who gets these errors.

Just fixed my 404 error, now I get a fatal error when attempting to gain access to user profiles.

Here is my new error.

Do you have the CMS disabled ?

I was getting the vBCMS errors as well, so I reenabled the CMS and then disabled it and all the errors went away.

Go to your Admin Control Panel

Plugins & Products -> Manage Products

Select "Enable" from the dropdown next to vBulletin CMS, it should enable it.
Then select "Disable" from the dropdown and it should disable it again.

I did this on my board and the errors disappeared. Hope it works for you also.

$author_list_url = vBCms_Route_List::getURL($segments);

and 582:

$page_templater->register('author_list_url',  $author_list_url);

If you are in extreme need and can't wait for solutions from VB staff, I got the solution : Just Upload member.php from ver 4.0.3 and the problem's gone !

I also didnt found " vBulletin CMS"

this option is not in the forum only version
only the suite
I comment out the line in member.php to get rid of the error
