  • [Forum] Large empty Gap above quotes

    Hi,

    For some reason quotes are leaving a huge empty gap above them on my forums. I don't know why or how this is happening, but can anyone suggest a way to fix it?

    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you in advance.

    Have a look at the bbcode_quote_padding stylevar and change the values there. In your case, you will need to change the Top Value. Hope it helps.

      Hi, thanks for the response. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that this is the problem. The padding is only set to 5px, even setting it to zero makes no real difference.

        Did you do any modification to your forum prior to getting that issue?

          There is an icon that is displayed above the first quote box.

            Yeah there is, that's a little weird, non of the templates have been modified to cause that. Any suggestions?

                I'm using 'Members who have Visited'

                But I don't see how that would effect the posting templates particularly.

                  After checking your page source you seem to have this part that has added the icon.gif:

                  Code:
                  <h2 class="title icon">
                  					<img src="images/icons/icon1.gif" alt="Default" />
                  				</h2>
                  Try to remove that (make first a backup of your postbit template) and see if it would fix the issue.
                  How did you add that btw? With a mod? If so, uninstall the modification then instead of removing it manually.

                    He already indicated none of his templates are modified.

                      But how did that got in there then? By itself? That is not part of that template.

                        Regardless, the template is shown as unaltered and it's impossible to revert it as it appears to be as per the original design.

                          That is very strange.

                            Disable your plugins and see if that corrects the problem.

                              I tried, but no difference.
