Since upgrading to PL4 my "recent forum posts" widget seems to update just any old time it feels like it, or not until I manually go clear CMS cache.
Yes, I've searched and read about 100 threads here about this and similar issues. Does anyone have a real answer? The only solution I've found is to manually clear CMS cache every 4 or 5 minutes. I've tried the different widget templates to no avail - the one in particular I am referring to is vbcms_searchresult_thread - I know we shouldn't be using search templates, is there a new template that produces RESULTS like vbcms_searchresult_thread?
example:
THREADTITLE
Thread Starter: Username
Date and Time of New Post by: username
THREADTITLE
Thread Starter: Username
Date and Time of New Post by: username
THREADTITLE
Thread Starter: Username
Date and Time of New Post by: username
Without these widgets updating on the CMS, people who use the widgets are like those "BC" comic characters floating the rock across the sea to talk to one another. I think Fidonet was faster
