    vb4..more slow than vb3?

i would like to know if vb is going to do something about this problem..

vb4 seems to waste lot of server resources, instead of vb3 which was very fast.

this speed problem, is more significant where the forum blocks are activated.

is vb team going to do something about this? maybe vb4 needs to have more clean code?
its not a complain..im only interesting to know about this

Each Forum Block adds queries. The more you have on the page, the more queries you will run. If your server is not optimized or is a shared server than you can have problems. It is a fact of life with any block/widget system.

Which specific blocks are causing problems on your forum? What are the problematic queries?

I have vBadvanced on my 3.8 site. I don't find it running slow.

well...most people have made threads talking about this (the forum and the slow cms..)..for me, the forum is a serious problem

i always was running my sites on a hostgator server, but 3.8 was an airplane comparing it with vb4! (the turtle)

i dont know why this...thats why i ask if vb4 needs to be more clean (speaking about the code)

Really? Have you checked out the vb 4 code btw or you are just talking for the sake of talking? And what part of it needs cleaning up btw? Just curious.

Really not relevant to this thread.

You need to be a little more specific. What is slow? What are the load times of your page? Are you experiencing any slow queries? How many sites does Host Gator have on your server? How many did they have before?

The original poster was comparing vB4 to vB3.
You mentioned forum blocks add queries.
Since I use vBadvanced (vB3) which add queries, I felt it was relevant as a comparison.
