Move Groups from "forum" from sub-menu to its own tab

To remove the Groups link from the navbar, open the navbar template and search for "group.php". These lines should show up twice, just remove them both:

I don't think Groups get enough visibility in the current navbar setup. I've setup a TAB for Groups but the "Forum" tab still show as selected/highlighted.
Question: How can I remove the group.php or group template from being highlighted under the "Forum" tab?
