      Create a new style with no parent:
      • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
      • Parent Style: No Parent Style
      • Title: Default vBulletin
      • Allow User Selection: Yes
      • Save

      Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

      If it is still happening - Try disabling your modifications/plugins and see if you still have this problem.
      Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

      PHP Code:
      define('DISABLE_HOOKS'true);

      Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

      If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

        So this is a plugin/products issue Lynne? If so I have disabled almost all products yesterday trying to speed up my forum, so maybe I have solved the problem already, cheers. Thanks for your help again,

          It's most likely a modification that has a form which doesn't have the securitytoken in it.

            I've reproduced this error on two different computers using this thread........

            Edit: I've tried adding the link twice, with no luck. Must be another bug. Now I am going advanced....

                It's not related to modifications. It's related to IE8. I'm getting it on two completely stock vB4 installations, but only when browsing in IE8. Firefox never throws up the error.
                Anybody who says "it can't be done" will usually be interrupted by somebody who is already doing it.

                  I get this error with all my users, all browsers. And it seems to recur even when all mods are disabled and the whole plugin system shut off.

                  Clicking on 'Mark All Forums Read' on the main page, always results in the 'Security Token Invalid' error. Only since 4.0.4 (didn't have the problem with 4.0.2).

                  Does anyone know of a fix?

                      I'm only on 4.0.3, and for me it's only an issue on IE8 users, and only after coming in after a while of being absent (cookie timeout frame).

                        I'm getting the "Mark All Forums Read" security token error aswell. I'm using 4.03 and all browsers seem effected including Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE8... any ideas on this problem?

                          I've also got this. The bug is reported here:

                          http://tracker.vbulletin.com/browse/VBIV-6290

                          but has been closing pending more information. I can't work out how to reopen it. Maybe I don't have permission to do this:

                          "Hello, Resolving this as "No Response" as we cannot further investigate this issue without further details. If the issue is still occurring, please petition this bug to be reopened with the details that are being requested.
                          No hard feelings, just trying to clean up the bug queue.
                          Thanks"

                          Can anyone help and reopen this please?

                            I localized mine to a customized FORUMHOME template that didn't update correctly or got messed up some how. Try ether reverting your FORUMHOME template to whats given in the default VB template or go into your FORUMHOME template and replace

                            PHP Code:
                                    <div class="navlinks">
                                    <
                            a href="forumdisplay.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}do=markread" rel="nofollow">{vb:rawphrase mark_forums_read}</a>
                                <
                            vb:if condition="$vboptions['forumleaders']">|
                                <

                              Thanks very much Keldaria - that's cracked it. Maybe worth adding your fix to that bug report?
