[Forum] URGENT! forum in the forum directory

is there anyway of having you forum like this:

http://www.site.com/forum

instead of

http://www.site.com/forum.php

and the CMS in the root directory like this:

http://www.site.com/

Have a look at your index.php, instructions for editing are in the file. You can edit the file so your CMS appears at www.site.com, and your forum will appear at www.site.com/forum/.

Has anyone actually done this where everything works?

I know things broke on my site.
List all and the ability to edit properly do not work.

Last I read in the "bugs forum", this issue is going to be fixed with the release of 4.03. We'll see.
