[Forum] How do I enable the forum home to show child threads in thread bars?

How do I show the child forums within the forum thread on the homepage? I can't find the place to enable this,

Here's an example, on the homepage of these forums you have the following, but how do you enable it to show a link to the sub-forums within? Mine doesn't do that at the moment.
