[Forum] Forums broken when removed path /forums/

I have a problem now, I decided to go ahead and put the forums on the root directory, I removed /forums/ from it, makes my life bit easier.
My concern is, when I open up the website in Internet explorer the red icons show up and when I right click on them it shows the extra path /forums/ in between.
Can that be an easy fix?

I went in control panel and changed the path and removed /forums/ but it still shows the old path when I right on the images that have the red X.
What can I do to fix this?

Did you really update your paths in the AdminCP? (AdminCP -> Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details)

Otherwise, refresh your browser cache. Your site icons load fine for me it seems.

It seems that some of the icons are set with a custom path, as they have not adjusted with the rest of the site.

What modifications have you made to the site that would have affected those paths?

I'm missing:

-Smilies
-YouTube Icon
-Post Icons

Well, first thing I did is upgraded from 3.8.4 to the new vBulletin.
The next thing I did is I renamed the old ftp path to something else: example: public_html1.
I created a new public_html file and instead of adding a folder called /forums/ I went ahead and decided to install the forums on the root directory.
Thats what I did
so where it use to be www.47r-squad.com/forums/index.php now its www.47r-squad.com/index.php .
I went in the vBulletin settings changed the path and removed forums and just simply put it as www.47r-squad.com .
When I right click on the smilies it still shows the path /forums/ .

If this is too much trouble I suppose I can put my forums back in the /forums/ directory.

Basically I wanted to clean up my old ftp public_html file directory and made a new one.

Do I have to run the install.php file?

Try this:

AdminCP -> Options -> Thread Display Options (showthread)

Check "Show Default Post Icon" -- What path is there?

Take the "Forums" out, if it's in there and then save.

It should be just /images/icons/icon1.gif --- If that does not work, just delete the path (leave it blank) and see what happens.

Basically the forum is still looking for the folder /forums/ but its not finding it.
I'd have to go in the database to edit everything out.
Or should I run install.php and reinstall the forums?
Will that fix?
But then again everything is saved in the datbase, that might not help since I am using the same database that I used yesterday that was still running with /forums/ directory.

Something is not updating properly ~ I just don't know where the kink is.

The last place I can think of, would be the StyleVars. AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> Use the drop down menu and select "StyleVars" for your current sytle.

In the vertical box on the left, scroll down to "ImagePaths" -- Check each path entry and see if those are not updated.

I don't think you need to run the install again, this should not be a big deal to fix, just need to find the key item to change. Someone else had this same issue in another thread, this StyleVar check is the last thing that would possible be set wrong.

Try this and then we'll talk about what to do if this fails.

In each of the ImagePath entries, it should be /images/titleofthefolderhere

One other thing, AdminCP -> Post Icons -> Post Icon Manager ; you can change the manual path settings for each icon here. Same goes for smilies. :S

Looking at the paths, they seem fine, I'll take a look in the post icons tomorrow morning, early work :/

Sorry we couldn't get it resolved more quickly... I'm really curious to see how this gets fixed. One for the notebook on VB4 for sure.

Where can I find Post Icons? i am little lost.
