[Forum] How to place animated gif advertisement on front page????

I need help??

I would like to know if I can put an animated graphic centered under the forum icon (front page) in the white bit and then this is written>(as shown on front page here:

I was wondering if that is where anouncements are place or advertisements.

Yes, but you need to know the html .

First cgo to AdminCP>Advertising> and Add new Ad
Click on one of the yellow rectangles.

There is a box there to but your html, which can just be a link to the image

I tried this, and all I get is a text string, and no image ?

What steps do I need to follow to actually get an image up there ?

Eventually got there, through a lot of trial and error. Had to dust off my old html skills. I thought it would have been just simplier to select the yellow box, tell it where the image was and it did the rest.
