[Forum] Problem with showthread.php

I did some searching here, but can not seem to find the answer. I recently did the 4.02 upgrade from 3.8, which went pretty well, but am having an issue with the showthread.php page. Posts with quotes are spaced down from the top of the post (see attached image). I did have a few mods installed, but have removed any that pertain to this page.

Please help, this is driving me crazy!

Try reverting your postbit_legacy template.

Yep, been there done that. I went as far as uninstalling ALL my mods, deleting ALL files (just in case I edited one I don't remember), uploaded all new fresh files and reverted ALL templates. Maybe a CSS file?

All the css file are templates.

The second problem could be a StyleVars setting. Check this.

StyleVars -> Postbit -> postbit_background

I tried putting the top to 0 and no change at all. I then clicked the revert link to put it back.

Just for kicks, I just imported another Style and it has the same issue.

1st off, I would like to thank Andy for jumping in here & helping me figure things out.

OMG, i can not believe how much time I have wasted tracking down an issue that was NOT an issue with the forum. I ended up removing ALL the modifications I spent all weekend integrating, I deleted all the forum files and installed a fresh copy, and reverted all the templates.

The issues were with a setting I was using on IE 8 itself. If you are having any issues with the site, viewing wise, please make sure that you have "compatability view" turned OFF.

Okay, back to adding the mods back in.
