  • [Forum] Avatar Auto Re-size

    Hi,

    I am very new to vBulletin and am having a problem locating a settings change or plug-in to solve a problem.

    Can anyone tell me whether it's possible to automatically resize an Avatar? I have tried searching for it but I cannot find anything!

    When I try to upload an image it say "Remote file is too large" - is there anyway to solve it - as I feel things could be made better for the user.

    I am running the latest version 4.0.2 with the patch.

    I am using shared hosting with 1and1.co.uk (unsure whether this has anything to do with it?)

    Thanks in advance.

    Scott

    Very odd, mine automatically resizes. What do you have in your config.php file under "// Image Processing Options"?

    Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

    If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

      Thanks for the reply.

      This is what it says:

      // Image Processing Options
      // Images that exceed either dimension below will not be resized by vBulletin. If you need to resize larger images, alter these settings.
      $config['Misc']['maxwidth'] = 2592;
      $config['Misc']['maxheight'] = 1944;

      I take it this is normal? My forum is http://forum.trackdaysdriver.co.uk

      Feel free to create a test account.

      Thank you again.

        Yes, that is normal/default. What type of image processing library are you using - vboptions > image settings > image processing library. Do you have a test account (registered user) that I can try this out on?
