  • [Forum] Fatal error: Call to undefined function construct_phrase_from_array()

    I've searched... found the phrase, but no solution...

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function construct_phrase_from_array() in /public_html/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 4142

    That error leads me to the following code snippet wherein Line 4142 is the final line...

    PHP Code:
    public static function parsePhrase($phraseName)
        {
            global
    $vbphrase;

    $arg_list func_get_args();

    $arg_list[0] = $vbphrase[$phraseName];
            return
    construct_phrase_from_array($arg_list);
    I need to know where this function might be defined.

    This occurred just after an upgrade from 3.8 to 4.0.2pl

    Make sure all your files got uploaded. Usually this type of error occurs because of a missing file.

    If I post CSS and you don't know where it goes, throw it into the additional.css template.

      Hmmm, good idea, perhaps that's why changing the function name to what it was previously worked to get the site back up.

      On a hunch, I compared the same function in a previous version of vb4 and found this:

      return construct_phrase($vbphrase[$phraseName], $arg_list);

      I replaced the last line up there with that and the error went away...

      This is probably not the optimal solution eh. I'll have to check the dates on all the files and see what I missed.

      Thanks for the fast reply.

        Thanks.... interesting. You may want to put this in the bug tracker so they take a look and fix the issue. You can just link to this thread in the bug report.
