[CMS] Content Posting Permissions not working as intended?

When I set a custom usergroup to be able to "create content" and "publish content", but NOT to "edit others content", that usergroup still has the ability to edit other people's content. What's causing this? Bug? Or something I did?

I read it, but it doesn't address the question.

Like I said, I have "can create" and "can publish" checked, but "can edit other's content" UNCHECKED, yet users are still able to edit other's content. That makes no sense to me.
